Bedugul is a mountain lake resort area located in the centre-north region of the island near Lake Bratan.
Bedugul area enjoys a mild mountain weather due to its location at an altitude of about 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) above sea level. Therefore it could be a bit chilly. Don´t forget to bring a jacket.
Major sites in Bedugul are the Pura Ulun Danu Bratan water temple and the Bali Botanical Garden.
Ulun Danu Beratan temple is located at the edge of Beratan lake, Pura Ulun Danu built in the early 17th century, serves to adore the majesty of God in order to invoke the grace of fertility, prosperity, human well-being and for sustainability of the universe.

The Botanical Garden is unique in Bali as a place for botanical research, conservation, education, and recreation. More than 2000 species of plants are preserved at Bali Botanical Garden. It provides a place where we can relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings while learning about the use of plants in the daily lives of Balinese people as well as many interesting tropical rainforest plants and birdlife.

Traditional Fruits and Vegetables Market. You should not skip visiting a traditional fruit and vegetable market in Candikuning village.
